HISTORY REPEATING ITSELF

                                                  HISTORY REPEATING ITSELF

There are stories in the Bible that seem to parallel events in our modern world.  One is the story of Adonijah and King Solomon.  Read the following scriptures from I Kings Chapter 1 and decide for yourself.

Then Nathan asked Bathsheba, Solomon’s mother, “Have you not heard that Adonijah, the son of Haggith, has become king, and our lord David knows nothing about it? 12 Now then, let me advise you how you can save your own life and the life of your son Solomon. 13 Go in to King David and say to him, ‘My lord the king, did you not swear to me your servant: “Surely Solomon your son shall be king after me, and he will sit on my throne”? Why then has Adonijah become king?’ 14 While you are still there talking to the king, I will come in and add my word to what you have said.”

15 So Bathsheba went to see the aged king in his room, where Abishag the Shunammite was attending him. 16 Bathsheba bowed down, prostrating herself before the king.

“What is it you want?” the king asked.

She said to him, “My lord, you yourself swore to me your servant by the Lord your God: ‘Solomon your son shall be king after me, and he will sit on my throne.’ 18 But now Adonijah has become king, and you, my lord the king, do not know about it. 19 He has sacrificed great numbers of cattle, fattened calves, and sheep, and has invited all the king’s sons, Abiathar the priest and Joab the commander of the army, but he has not invited Solomon your servant. 20 My lord the king, the eyes of all Israel are on you, to learn from you who will sit on the throne of my lord the king after him. 21 Otherwise, as soon as my lord the king is laid to rest with his ancestors, I and my son Solomon will be treated as criminals.”

22 While she was still speaking with the king, Nathan the prophet arrived. 23 And the king was told, “Nathan the prophet is here.” So he went before the king and bowed with his face to the ground.

24 Nathan said, “Have you, my lord the king, declared that Adonijah shall be king after you, and that he will sit on your throne? 25 Today he has gone down and sacrificed great numbers of cattle, fattened calves, and sheep. He has invited all the king’s sons, the commanders of the army and Abiathar the priest. Right now they are eating and drinking with him and saying, ‘Long live King Adonijah!’ 26 But me your servant, and Zadok the priest, and Benaiah son of Jehoiada, and your servant Solomon he did not invite. 27 Is this something my lord the king has done without letting his servants know who should sit on the throne of my lord the king after him?”

David Makes Solomon King

28 Then King David said, “Call in Bathsheba.” So she came into the king’s presence and stood before him.

29 The king then took an oath: “As surely as the Lord lives, who has delivered me out of every trouble, 30 I will surely carry out this very day what I swore to you by the Lord, the God of Israel: Solomon your son shall be king after me, and he will sit on my throne in my place.”

31 Then Bathsheba bowed down with her face to the ground, prostrating herself before the king, and said, “May my lord King David live forever!”

32 King David said, “Call in Zadok the priest, Nathan the prophet and Benaiah son of Jehoiada.” When they came before the king, 33 he said to them: “Take your lord’s servants with you and have Solomon my son mount my own mule and take him down to Gihon. 34 There have Zadok the priest and Nathan the prophet anoint him king over Israel. Blow the trumpet and shout, ‘Long live King Solomon!’ 35 Then you are to go up with him, and he is to come and sit on my throne and reign in my place. I have appointed him ruler over Israel and Judah.” I Kings 1:11-35 (NIV)

Kim Clement, a prophet of the Lord, prophesied that Trump would serve two terms.

"Listen to the Word of the Lord. God says, 'I will put at your helm for two terms a president that will pray, but he will not be a praying president when he starts. I will put him in office and then I will baptize him with the Holy Spirit and My power.'"

He also prophesied in 2008 about two presidents.

“And they shall say, ‘But now there is a second president, how can we have two presidents?’ An unusual thing, isn’t it?” says the Spirit of the Lord. “Why would it be that one with a double-mind would stand up and face the people?

“No, they shall say, ‘We have two presidents, what do we do now?’ Fear not.” For God says, “As I promised before, this is My Nation and I will change things according to the time and season and I told you now in Spring, I will expose and reveal things that have been hidden, so that My Nation can move into this next election and to the next phase with victory and honor and glory,” says the Lord of Hosts!” (Kim Clement April 4, 2008)

Do we choose to believe the false prophets----the media or do we choose to believe what Almighty God says through His prophets?  If we only believe something if we see it in the natural, then we do not have faith because faith is---believing what you don’t see.  Just because things don’t happen according to our timing doesn’t mean they will not happen.  God’s timing is perfect!!  God is still on the Throne and He is not done with America!!  HAVE FAITH!!

A QUEEN ESTHER MOMENT

                                                  A QUEEN ESTHER MOMENT

God chose Esther, an unlikely candidate, to be a deliverer of the Jewish people.  Mordecai brought up Esther, his uncle’s daughter, when her father and mother died.  She became the Queen of Persia and was instrumental in the deliverance of the Jews who were in danger of annihilation.

During the reign of Ahasuerus (Xerxes) who reigned in India to Ethiopia, whose throne was in Susa, the capital of the Persian Empire, he made a feast and asked Queen Vashti to come.  She refused so the King decreed that he would choose a new queen and that all beautiful young virgins be gathered and brought to the King’s house so that he would have a new queen.

Esther was sent to the King along with many other young maidens and she found favor with the King.  Mordecai had been concealing his identity as a Jew so he encouraged Esther to do the same.

Haman, the Agragite who had been promoted by the King and was above all princes became infuriated because Mordecai would not bow down to him and convinced the King to eliminate all of the Jews.  Mordecai knew that Esther could save the Jewish people but she had not been summoned by the King and the consequences could mean that she would be punished by death.  Mordecai sent messengers to convey his words to Esther.  (Stolen Identity: Plan of the Evil One by Marcella Ward)

For if you remain silent at this time, relief and deliverance for the Jews will arise from another place, but you and your father’s family will perish. And who knows but that you have come to your royal position for such a time as this?”

Then Esther sent this reply to Mordecai:  “Go, gather together all the Jews who are in Susa, and fast for me. Do not eat or drink for three days, night or day. I and my attendants will fast as you do. When this is done, I will go to the king, even though it is against the law. And if I perish, I perish.”

So Mordecai went away and carried out all of Esther’s instructions.  Esther 4:14-17 (NIV)

It was Esther alone who could save the Jewish people.  She approached her husband and obtained favor from him.  A banquet was ordered by the King.

CHAPTER 7 BOOK OF ESTHER

So the king and Haman went to Queen Esther’s banquet, and as they were drinking wine on the second day, the king again asked, “Queen Esther, what is your petition? It will be given you. What is your request? Even up to half the kingdom, it will be granted.”

Then Queen Esther answered, “If I have found favor with you, Your Majesty, and if it pleases you, grant me my life—this is my petition. And spare my people—this is my request.  For I and my people have been sold to be destroyed, killed and annihilated. If we had merely been sold as male and female slaves, I would have kept quiet, because no such distress would justify disturbing the king.”

King Xerxes asked Queen Esther, “Who is he? Where is he—the man who has dared to do such a thing?”

Esther said, “An adversary and enemy! This vile Haman!”

Then Haman was terrified before the king and queen.  The king got up in a rage, left his wine and went out into the palace garden. But Haman, realizing that the king had already decided his fate, stayed behind to beg Queen Esther for his life.

Just as the king returned from the palace garden to the banquet hall, Haman was falling on the couch where Esther was reclining.

The king exclaimed, “Will he even molest the queen while she is with me in the house?”

As soon as the word left the king’s mouth, they covered Haman’s face.  Then Harbona, one of the eunuchs attending the king, said, “A pole reaching to a height of fifty cubits stands by Haman’s house. He had it set up for Mordecai, who spoke up to help the king.”

The king said, “Impale him on it!”  So they impaled Haman on the pole he had set up for Mordecai. Then the king’s fury subsided.  Chapter 7 (NIV)

This is a Queen Esther moment because of the many things happening around the world that would seek to wipe God out of everything; take away our God-given rights; take away our voice; label many for not conforming to the “powers that be” i.e. media, politicians, etc.

We need to take a stand and call out that which is not ordained by God.  We need to be an Esther and not be afraid even if it costs us our livelihood or our life. There have been many who have stood up for their faith and rights and paid a price.   I believe, that as the evil Haman received exactly what he was trying to do to the Jews, justice will come to those who are trying to steal our freedoms and our rights.

“Martin Niemöller (1892–1984) was a prominent Lutheran pastor in Germany. He emerged as an outspoken public foe of Adolf Hitler and spent the last seven years of Nazi rule in concentration camps. He is perhaps best remembered for his postwar words, “First they came for the socialists, and I did not speak out…”  Holocaust Encyclopedia

“First they came for the socialists, and I did not speak out—because I was not a socialist. Then they came for the trade unionists, and I did not speak out— because I was not a trade unionist.  Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out—because I was not a Jew. Then they came for me—and there was no one left to speak for me.” Martin Niemöller  (Note: The content of the quotation has varying forms but the message is clear.)

He believed that Germans had been complicit through their silence in the Nazi imprisonment, persecution, and murder of millions of people. He felt this was true in particular of the leaders of the Protestant churches (of which the Lutheran church was one denomination).”  Holocaust Encycolpedia

“The hand of God is at work in the lives of his people. He used the circumstances in Esther's life, as he uses the decisions and actions of all humans to providentially work out his divine plans and purposes. We can trust in the Lord's sovereign care over every aspect of our lives.

The Lord raised up Esther as he raised up Moses, Joshua, Joseph, and many others to deliver his people from destruction. Through Jesus Christ, we are delivered from death and hell. God is able to save his children.”  (Mary Fairchild—updated June 18, 2019)

Who knows, maybe we were born for “such a time as this.”

WORDS OF ENCOURAGEMENT

                                                        WORDS OF ENCOURAGEMENT

I believe I received the following messages from the Lord.  I believe that in these chaotic times that we are all experiencing, a fresh message from God is able to encourage us and sustain us.

December 27, 2020:

Stay tuned for coming attractions!  The coming events that will occur will be a sign—a foretelling of the future of the earth and the will of the Father.  Stay tuned for the coming events for they will foretell the future. (This was repeated)  The consequences of such actions by the evil one will come to a screeching halt like a marker in the sand that cannot be crossed so put on your seat belt; adjust your rear view mirror and be ready for the ride of a lifetime.  Stay focused on Me and I will be the Champion of your destiny!”

January 1, 2021:

Note:  Before I received this message, I saw (in my mind’s eye) a person standing in a dark room drawing back the curtains and there was bright light outside the window.

“The curtain of darkness is being drawn away.  There will be a brighter day.  The Son (Jesus) will be a shining beacon in your lives for I am the Light of the World and no demon, no darkness will expel or repel what I AM about to do for I AM the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords.  I AM the Ruler of the universes and the galaxies; the stars; the firmament.  I AM HE WHO speaks to oceans to rise and fall.  I AM HE WHO proclaims the secrets of the depths.  I AM HE WHO gives life and breath to everything----all the creatures of the sea; all the flowers in the fields; all the stars in the sky.  I AM HE, I AM HE, so proclaim My Glory, proclaim My Glory for I will arise with healing in My wings.  I will arise and none other will be at My footstool for I AM HE, I AM HE, I AM HE who proclaims justice and freedom upon the hills and mountains!!  I AM HE!

TRUTH

                                                                       TRUTH

What is truth?   The answer is in the Word of God.

The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.  John 1:14  (NIV)

For the law was given through Moses; grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.  John 1:17  (NIV)

To the Jews who had believed him, Jesus said, “If you hold to my teaching, you are really my disciples.  Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”  John 8:31-32  (NIV)

What is Truth?  God’s Word is truth.  Jesus came as the bearer of truth.   The opposite of truth is a lie.  Lying and deception go hand in hand.  The definition of deceive, according to Webster’s Dictionary, is “To cause to believe what is not true: mislead.”  Let’s see didn’t this happen a long time ago in the Garden of Eden when the devil deceived Adam and Eve?

Now the serpent was more crafty than any of the wild animals the Lord God had made. He said to the woman, “Did God really say, ‘You must not eat from any tree in the garden’?”

The woman said to the serpent, “We may eat fruit from the trees in the garden,  but God did say, ‘You must not eat fruit from the tree that is in the middle of the garden, and you must not touch it, or you will die.’”

“You will not certainly die,” the serpent said to the woman.  “For God knows that when you eat from it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.”  Genesis 3:1-5  (NIV)

Jesus was born into the world to put an end to deception and redeem man from sin which is really rejecting truth which is in the person of Jesus Christ Himself. Thomas said to him, “Lord, we don’t know where you are going, so how can we know the way?”   Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.  If you really know me, you will know my Father as well. From now on, you do know him and have seen him.”  John 14:5-7 NIV

When Jesus was brought before Pilate, Pilate questioned Jesus about His Kingdom------ Jesus said, “My kingdom is not of this world. If it were, my servants would fight to prevent my arrest by the Jewish leaders. But now my kingdom is from another place.” “You are a king, then!” said Pilate. Jesus answered, “You say that I am a king. In fact, the reason I was born and came into the world is to testify to the truth. Everyone on the side of truth listens to me.”  Matthew 18:36-37  (NIV)

Even Pilate himself did not know what truth was because apparently he had never experienced it and it appears he unknowingly experienced truth in the person of Jesus Christ.

In Chapter 24 of Matthew Jesus talked about deception three times.  It seems that deception is one of the biggest signs of the end times.  You need not look any further than the media to recognize this.

As Jesus was sitting on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to him privately. “Tell us,” they said, “when will this happen, and what will be the sign of your coming and of the end of the age?”  Jesus answered: “Watch out that no one deceives you.  Matthew 24:3-4 (NIV)

We live in a world that is on a collision course to dispel all truth.  Jesus came to destroy the works of the enemy, the devil.  He proclaimed truth wherever He went.  If you really seek the truth you will find it.  Don’t be pressured by the “cancel culture” out there that wants to force people to act and think like them.  Where there is truth there is freedom.  Freedom to be who God created you to be.  He is the Master Designer.  He wrote the “manual” for His creation.  Don’t forget the acronym B.I.B.L.E. -----“Basic Instructions Before Leaving Earth.”
