PRAYERS AND WORDS OF ENCOURAGEMENT
In these times where everything seems to be falling apart and there is so much chaos in the world, we need to hold fast to God's Word which is our anchor and strength to dispel fear and anxiety.
The following are a few scriptures that will comfort you and uphold you each and every day. Look to the Lord God Almighty as your source. His love is unchangeable and unconditional and He is reaching out His hand to you to keep you from falling and uplifting you with His mercy and grace.
For the Spirit God gave us does not make us timid, but gives us power, love and self-discipline. For the Spirit God gave us does not make us timid, but gives us power, love and self-discipline. 2 Timothy 1 :7 NIV
Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. Philippians 4:6 NIV
Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own. Matthew 6:34 NIV
Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afrad; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go. Joshua 1:9 NIV .
Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you. I Peter 5:7 NIV
Psalm 91
1 Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High
will rest in the shadow of the Almighty.[a]
2 I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress,
my God, in whom I trust.”
3 Surely he will save you
from the fowler’s snare
and from the deadly pestilence.
4 He will cover you with his feathers,
and under his wings you will find refuge;
his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart.
5 You will not fear the terror of night,
nor the arrow that flies by day,
6 nor the pestilence that stalks in the darkness,
nor the plague that destroys at midday.
7 A thousand may fall at your side,
ten thousand at your right hand,
but it will not come near you.
8 You will only observe with your eyes
and see the punishment of the wicked.
9 If you say, “The Lord is my refuge,”
and you make the Most High your dwelling,
10 no harm will overtake you,
no disaster will come near your tent.
11 For he will command his angels concerning you
to guard you in all your ways;
12 they will lift you up in their hands,
so that you will not strike your foot against a stone.
13 You will tread on the lion and the cobra;
you will trample the great lion and the serpent.
14 “Because he[b] loves me,” says the Lord, “I will rescue him;
I will protect him, for he acknowledges my name.
15 He will call on me, and I will answer him;
I will be with him in trouble,
I will deliver him and honor him.
16 With long life I will satisfy him
and show him my salvation.”
PRAYER OF ENCOURAGEMENT
“Dear Father God, Thank You for Your
unfailing love for me, Your blessings, and goodness. Thank You for Your
faithfulness to guide me and see me through times of uncertainty, for lifting
me up, and setting me on high. Thank You for Scripture that comforts and
reminds me of Your promises, plan, and provision. Thank you for taking away my
fears and worries, the what-ifs, and reminding me that my help comes from You.
Help me be a good steward and to sow wisely. In Christ’s name, Amen.”
